Banda MS de Sergio Lizárraga notches its  14th No. 1 on the Regional Mexican Airplay chart (Dec. 5) as “Cerrando Ciclos” jumps 2-1.

The Eden Muñoz-written tune is the third single from El Trabajo Es La Suerte, Banda MS’s 13th studio album, which debuted and peaked at No. 2 on Regional Mexican Albums (Aug. 29-dated list).

“We are very happy with the song,” Oswaldo Silvas, one of Banda MS’ vocalists, tells Billboard. “This is our 14th No. 1, which is a great achievement, so we are really grateful with the support.”

“Cerrando Ciclos” lands atop Regional Mexican Airplay boosted by 25% in audience impressions, to 8 million, earned in the week ending Nov. 29. It concurrently sees progress on the overall Latin Airplay chart, hiking 8-4.

“When Eden played the initial recording, we knew it would be a hit,” Alan Ramírez, lead singer adds.

The tune is the first No. 1 from El Trabajo. Two other singles preceded the album: “Altamente Probable” (No. 8 peak, May 23) and “Quién Pierde Más?” (No. 21 high, April 4-dated tally).

Los Dos Carnales Debut Top Five: Elsewhere on the Latin charts, Brothers Poncho and Imanol Quezada, better known as Los Dos Carnales, notch their second top five on Regional Mexican Albums as El Borracho debuts at No. 2.

Their sophomore set , which was written and produced by the siblings, bows with 4,000 equivalent album units, mostly attributed to streaming activity.

The album yielded one song on Regional Mexican Airplay, “Te Vas a Arrepentir,” its lead single, which lifts 27-24 on the tracking week.
