Billie Eilish lands her first No. 1 on Billboard’s Streaming Songs chart with “Therefore I Am,” which debuts atop the list dated Nov. 28.
“Therefore I Am” bows in its first full tracking week (Nov. 13-19) with 24.2 million U.S. streams, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data. It was released late Nov. 12 and received 3.1 million streams on that day alone toward the Nov. 21 charts.
Eilish’s coronation follows two No. 2s for the alt-pop artist: “Bad Guy” in April 2019 and “Everything I Wanted” one year before her latest single (November 2019). It’s also her sixth top 10, the first coming with the No. 8-peaking “Bury a Friend” in February 2019.
Concurrently, “Therefore I Am” also becomes Eilish’s second No. 1 on Alternative Streaming Songs, which began in June, following “My Future” in August.
On the multi-metric Hot Rock & Alternative Songs tally, “Therefore I Am” jumps 5-2 and nabs the same spot on the all-format Billboard Hot 100. It’s the first time since the former ranking’s June switch to include alternative-leaning pop, rap, dance and other alternative genres that the top two songs on the Hot 100 are also the top two on Hot Rock & Alternative Songs, with “Therefore I Am” behind 24kGoldn’s “Mood,” featuring Iann Dior.
In its first full week of radio, “Therefore I Am” also continues to make gains, vaulting 20-15 on Alternative Airplay, 31-21 on Pop Songs and 39-26 on Adult Pop Songs.
