Chris Stapleton debuts at No. 1 on Billboard’s Country Songwriters chart (dated Nov. 28), thanks to five writing credits on the latest Hot Country Songs chart, with all five tracks from his new studio album Starting Over.

The LP launches at No. 1 on Top Country Albums and No. 3 on the all-genre Billboard 200 with 103,000 equivalent album units earned, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data.

The set’s title track, which Stapleton co-wrote with Mike Henderson, leads his Hot Country Songs entries at No. 7.

Here’s a rundown of all five of Stapleton’s songwriting credits on the latest Hot Country Songs chart, one of which he penned solo.

Rank, Title (songwriters in addition to Stapleton)
No. 7, “Starting Over” (Mike Henderson)
No. 24, “You Should Probably Leave” (Ashley Gorley, Chris DuBois)
No. 40, “Cold” (Dave Cobb, Derek Mixon, J.T. Cure)
No. 46, “Devil Always Made Me Think Twice” (Al Anderson)
No. 50, “Maggie’s Song”

Stapleton also debuts on Hot Country Songs at No. 45 with “Joy of My Life,” written by John Fogerty.

Stapleton and Dave Cobb each debut at No. 5 on the Country Producers chart, as the pair co-produced all six of Stapleton’s entries on Hot Country Songs.

Meanwhile, Joey Moi tallies his 29th week at No. 1 on Country Producers on the strength of his production credits on Morgan Wallen’s “More Than My Hometown” (No. 2), HARDY’s “One Beer,” featuring Lauren Alaina and Devin Dawson (No. 4), Chris Lane’s “Big, Big Plans” (No. 11) and Wallen’s “7 Summers” (No. 14).

The weekly Country Songwriters and Country Producers charts are based on total points accrued by a songwriter and producer, respectively, for each attributed song that appears on the Hot Country Songs chart; As with Billboard’s yearly recaps, multiple writers or producers split points for each song equally (and the dividing of points will lead to occasional ties on rankings).
