Dolly Parton fans everywhere found themselves holding back tears while watching the country icon’s A Holly Dolly Christmas on CBS.
Parton’s Christmastime special — which aired Sunday night (Dec. 6) — had her performing classics and sharing personal stories, warming hearts at the end of a rough year.
One fan on Twitter seemed to sum up what many were feeling as they tuned in: “Watching A #HollyDollyChristmas because Dolly Parton is the only good thing we have left in 2020.”
“2020 has been s— but it has gifted us @DollyParton reading bedtime stories, a dolly christmas album, a dolly christmas movie, a dolly christmas special and a dolly vaccine,” another fan pointed out, referring to the star’s $1 million donation that ultimately helped fund Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine.
