Paramore singer Hayley Williams rocked the rec room for a funky NPR Tiny Desk (Home) Concert that spotlighted tracks from her solo debut, Petals For Armor.

The three-song set featured accompaniment from Julien Baker and Becca Mancari, and opened with the bouncy “Pure Love,” with Williams wailing R&B style from beneath a mane of rainbow-colored blonde hair.

“I’ve never done this without Paramore,” Williams said before introducing the band and then leaning into the jazzy, loose “Taken,” during which she danced around and mimed the snappy bass line with her fingers between occasional stabs at a keyboard.

Recorded in an all-white room with blank canvases propped up on easels all round, Williams bounced around the space with abandon in the lead-up to the funky “Dead Horse,” on which she added some guitar.
