Kelly Clarkson talked to a teacher about the difficulty of holding classes over Zoom, but her 6-year-old daughter River might have outsmarted the system.
During the “Best in Class Hour” segment of The Kelly Clarkson Show on Wednesday, the Grammy-winning singer spoke with flute teacher Kristen Wuest about how much she misses her students.
“I haven’t seen my students in person since March of 2020. I’ve been giving them their lessons on Zoom, so that’s been interesting. But I cannot wait to be back with them in person and give them big hugs,” said Wuest, who teaches at Wharton Institute for the Performing Arts in New Jersey.
But Clarkson revealed that on the other side of a typical Zoom call for school at her house, River is stretching out her arms for a sneaky tactic. Her mother demonstrated the pose she uses to “pretend like she’s frozen so she doesn’t have to do what they’re asking her to do,” giving her brownie points for comedy while advising, “Reel it in, dude.”
