Hilary Duff, who is currently pregnant, has revealed that she was exposed to COVID-19.

On Saturday (Nov. 21), the actress and singer told her followers on social media that she was in quarantine.

“Exposed to covid,” she wrote in an Instagram Story. “Quarantine day 2.”

“Fml,” said Duff, who appears to be isolating herself in the basement, away from her family.

The CDC recommends staying home and monitoring one’s health for 14 days after being in contact with a person who has tested positive for COVID-19, as symptoms can appear up to 14 days after exposure to the virus. A study found that pregnant women are at an increased risk for severe illness from COVID-19, according to the CDC.

Duff’s Instagram Stories over the weekend showed that her family has been dropping off sweet gifts, including an apple pie and a candle, outside her door. In one clip, she said her son Luca was learning how to knock a coded message to say “I love you.”

Duff is due to give birth to her third child in 2021. She announced the happy of her pregnancy with a cute video in October: “We are growing!!! Mostly me,” she quipped.

After driving by a “raging house party” where no masks were being worn over the summer, Duff expressed that she was embarrassed about how the United States has handled the coronavirus pandemic. “Other countries have come together in a beautiful way to contain or be Covid free,” she said at the time. “It’s embarrassing that we are worse than ever because people need to party and Karens won’t wear masks!”
