Morgan Wallen earns his fourth No. 1 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart, all earned in a row, as “More Than My Hometown” ascends 2-1 on the Nov. 28-dated list. The song gained by 11% to 33 million impressions in the week ending Nov. 22, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data.

The track, which Wallen wrote with Hardy, Ernest K. Smith and Ryan Vojtesak, is the lead single from Wallen’s 30-song sophomore LP, Dangerous: The Double Album, due Jan. 8.

“Thank you country radio, my incredible fans and my relentless team for making this our fourth consecutive No. 1,” Wallen says. “Also, thank you to my co-writers for collaborating with me on this song and for just being some damn good friends. Happy Thanksgiving, everybody.”

With its 26-week trip to the Country Airplay penthouse, “Hometown” completes Wallen’s fastest ride to No. 1. “Chasin’ You” reached the top in its 42nd week this May; “Whiskey Glasses,” which ruled for three weeks in June 2019, ambled to the apex over 40 weeks; and “Up Down,” featuring Florida Georgia Line, dominated in June 2018 in its 32nd frame. Wallen first appeared on the chart with “The Way I Talk,” which rose to No. 30 in May 2017.

On the multi-metric Hot Country Songs chart, “Hometown” holds at its No. 2 high, also with 10.5 million streams and 6,000 sold.

Meanwhile, Wallen’s “7 Summers,” additionally set to appear on his forthcoming album, ranks at No. 25 on Country Airplay (6.4 million, down 5%), a week after reaching its No. 24 best. It lifts 15-14 on Hot Country Songs, also buoyed by 7.4 million streams and 3,000 sold.

On the chart dated Aug. 29, the track became just the fifth No. 1 debut on Hot Country Songs since the tally originated as an all-encompassing genre survey in 1958. It became Wallen’s second leader on the list, after “Whiskey Glasses” ruled for two weeks in May and June 2019.
