Dolly Parton is spreading much-needed holiday cheer early with A Holly Dolly Christmas this weekend.

To ring in her favorite time of the year at the end of a turbulent one, Parton will perform holiday classics and hymns partly from her Christmas album of the same name during the one-hour CBS Christmas special. She’ll also recount her personal Christmas memories and faith-based stories from an intimate, candlelit setting.

“I am so proud to be a part of the CBS family this holiday season with my new Christmas special,” Parton said in a press announcement earlier last month.

“When Dolly Parton calls and tells you she wants to do a Christmas show, you don’t hesitate,” Jack Sussman, executive vice president of specials, music and live events/alternative and reality for CBS, said. “A special with the multi-Grammy Award-winning, prolific song-writing, epic live performer of all time? She had us at hello. There’s only one Dolly Parton, and we are so excited to be bringing her to viewers this holiday season.”

A Holly Dolly Christmas, her first holiday album in 30 years that she unwrapped on Oct. 2, debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart (her eighth consecutive chart-topper on the country tally) and the Top Holiday Albums charts. The set features 12 traditional and original jingles with featured artists Miley CyrusBilly Ray Cyrus, Michael BubleJimmy FallonWillie Nelson and more.

A Holly Dolly Christmas will air 19 days before Christmas on Sunday, Dec. 6, at 8:30 p.m. ET/8 p.m. PT on CBS and via livestream/on demand at CBS All Access.
