Kelly Clarkson has officially been granted primary custody of her two children, River Rose, 6, and Remington Alexander, 4, amid her divorce proceedings with Brandon Blackstock.
“The Court finds that under the circumstances present in this case, the interest in providing stability and continuity for the minor children weighs in favor of Petitioner having primary custody,” the court documents obtained by Billboard read, with the Petitioner identified as Clarkson.
The former couple will share joint physical and legal custody, though the children will be living with Clarkson in Los Angeles as the music manager will reside in Montana. The court has also allocated time for River and Remington to spend with both parents throughout the year, including daily FaceTimes with Blackstock “at a mutually agreed upon time” and set visitations/custody on weekends and school breaks.
The documents also state that Clarkson and Blackstock “shall not speak in a derogatory manner about the other parent to the minor children. The custodial parent shall not allow the minor children to be in the presence of any third party who speaks about the other parent in a derogatory manner.”
Additionally, “Neither party shall drive the minor children within 8 hours of consuming alcohol or 20 any other intoxicating substance, including, but not limited to, any and all cannabis products.”
Clarkson filed for divorce from Blackstock after seven years of marriage in June.
