Taking to the stage at the 2020 American Music Awards on Sunday (Nov. 22), British singer-songwriter Lewis Capaldi brought the tempo down to get the feelings out with a moving performance of his single “Before You Go.”
Dressed in a simple black jacket with a white t-shirt underneath, Capaldi stood alone on the stage, accompanied only by a pianist, for his moving performance. Crooning to the limited crowd, Capaldi kept it simple, staying at his microphone stand and instead letting his voice speak for itself.
“Before You Go” comes off of Capaldi’s extended album Divinely Inspired to A Hellish Extent. At the 2020 AMAs, Capaldi saw himself nominated for 3 awards, including favorite pop/rock song and new artist of the year.
The American Music Awards are produced by dick clark productions, which is owned by MRC Entertainment, the parent company of Billboard.
