Lil Ju claims the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Rap Producers and R&B/Hip-Hop Producers charts (dated Dec. 5), leading each for the first time thanks to a pair of hits by Megan Thee Stallion that he solely produced.

“Body” debuts at No. 4 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop songs chart with 22.4 million U.S. streams, 2.6 million radio airplay audience impressions and 10,000 downloads sold, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data. The song also debuts at No. 1 on the all-genre Streaming Songs chart, No. 4 on Hot Rap Songs and No. 12 on the Billboard Hot 100.

“Do It on the Tip,” featuring City Girls, follows with a No. 33 start on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs with 7.2 million streams and 1,000 sold. The track also debuts at No. 92 on the Hot 100.

Lil Ju, real name Julian Mason, also enters at No. 6 on the all-genre Hot 100 Producers ranking.

“I’ve been working my whole life to get here, and it feels great to finally get my due,” he tells Billboard. “I’m comin’ for No. 1 on the Hot 100 Producers chart.”

Both songs appear on Megan Thee Stallion’s debut LP Good News, which opens at No. 1 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and No. 2 on the Billboard 200 with 100,000 equivalent album units.

“Body” and “Do It on the Tip” earn Lil Ju his fourth and fifth career Hot 100 entries as a producer. He first appeared on the Hot 100 as a producer in 2019, via Megan Thee Stallion’s “Cash Shit,” featuring DaBaby (No. 36 peak), and “Big Ole Freak” (No. 65), and added “Captain Hook” this March (No. 74).

Megan Thee Stallion herself also has a big week on Billboard’s songwriters and producers charts. She rules Hot 100 Songwriters and R&B/Hip-Hop Songwriters for the first time and returns to No. 1 on Rap Songwriters for a second week on top.

The weekly Rap Songwriters and Rap Producers charts are based on total points accrued by a songwriter and producer, respectively, for each attributed song that appears on the Hot Rap Songs chart. Genre-based songwriter and producer charts follow the same methodology based on corresponding “Hot”-named genre charts. As with Billboard’s yearly recaps, multiple writers or producers split points for each song equally (and the dividing of points will lead to occasional ties on rankings).
