Iron Mike’s return to the ring will also feature some heavy hitters from hip-hop.

Lil Wayne, French Montana and DaBaby lead the lineup of artists set to perform at Mike Tyson’s Nov. 28 comeback bout in Los Angeles against Roy Jones Jr.

Also on the music bill is Wiz Khalifa and YG.

“This event is going to go down in history, no doubt,” comments Lil Wayne in a statement. “I’m grateful to be a part of it and share the arena with two living legends. I’m stoked to perform and give the fans something they can rock to.”

Wiz Khalifa adds in a statement: “Nov 28th, I’m putting on a live show and watching two of the greats lace up their gloves, thanks to Triller,” while Montana says, “It’s truly a moment. I’m honored and can’t wait to see Tyson and Jones fight.”

The hyped eight-round contest between Tyson, the controversial former undisputed world heavyweight champion, and Jones, a former four-division world champion, will headline a four-hour live event.

“The connection between boxing and music is undeniable,” comments Bobby Sarnevesht, executive chairman of viral entertainment platform Triller, which has curated the night’s music program. “As a global language, music unites cultures, and we knew this historical moment needed to include some of the biggest names in the industry. Unparalleled to any other entertainment platform in the space, Triller is determined to give fans a night they will never forget.”

Tyson, now 54, hasn’t laced on the gloves for a professional fight since a June 2005 loss to Irishman Kevin McBride. His post-career journey has included stints on the speaking circuit, starring in a one-man show on his own life, he authored a best-selling autobiography Undisputed Truth (and its followup Iron Ambition) and made several big-screen appearances, including Rocky Balboa and The Hangover franchise.

Back in May 2020, Tyson surprised the sporting world when he posted a video on his Instagram of him training, and looking sharp. “I’m back,” he says at the end.

The upcoming event is produced under Mike Tyson’s Legends Only League along with Don Mischer Productions (DMP) and Carleen Cappelletti’s Anchor Street Collective.

The WBC will score the exhibition fight, which is sanctioned by the California State Athletic Commission.

Pugilism fans can stream it all on www.TysonOnTriller.com for $49.99.
