Nicki Minaj surprised the Barbz with a special announcement on the 10th anniversary of her debut album Pink Friday: HBO Max has ordered a docuseries about her life.

She took to Twitter on Friday (Nov. 20) to reveal the news of her six-episode docuseries directed by Michael John Warren, who made his directorial debut with Jay-Z’s 2004 concert documentary Fade to Black.

“What’s up, y’all? It’s Onika Tanya Maraj, and I’m very excited to finally share with you guys that my docuseries is coming to HBO Max!” she exclaimed in a video that showed off bright orange bangs and long locks, compared to her signature pink hairstyle from her debut LP era. “It’s going to give you guys a raw, unfiltered look at my personal life and my professional journey. And I can’t wait to share it with you.”

Warren previously helmed two MTV documentaries for the 37-year-old rapper: Nicki Minaj: My Time Now in 2010 (tied to Pink Friday) and Nick Minaj: My Time AGAIN in 2015. Minaj is credited as an executive producer along with Warren and Aaron L. Gilbert, Brenda Gilbert and Cassandra Butcher for BRON Life, and Irving Azoff and Tommy Bruce for Creative Wealth Media.

The Barbz didn’t feel lucky, they felt blessed, yes, with the news after she teased them about a special surprise during her Twitter Q&A. The Trinidadian-American rapper even specified which Pink Friday songs her fans should listen to before making the bombshell announcement. “Everyone play ‘moment 4 life’ starting in 5 4 3 2 1 GO!!!! Then play ‘here I am’ Then go to ‘did it on em’ After that I’ll make my announcement. Have superbass playing while u read it,” she tweeted earlier this morning.

Pink Friday was released on Nov. 20, 2010. The groundbreaking debut project went to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and logged six weeks atop Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart in 2011, tying for the longest reign by a female rapper (Minaj has since broken the record). It was also nominated for best rap album at the 2012 Grammys and won favorite rap/hip-hop album at the 2011 American Music Awards.
