Rauw Alejandro scores his first top five entry on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums chart (dated Nov. 28), as his debut studio album Afrodisiaco opens at No. 3.
The LP starts with 12,000 equivalent album units earned in the tracking week ending Nov. 19, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data, helping it also arrive at No. 75 on the all-genre Billboard 200.
Rauw Alejandro had logged one previous entry on Top Latin Albums prior to Afrodisiaco. His live album Concierto Virtual En Tiempos de COVID-19 Desde El Coliseo de Puerto Rico debuted and peaked at No. 10 in September.
Notably, three songs from Afrodisiaco appear on the latest Hot Latin Songs chart: “Tattoo,” with Camilo, leads at No. 14 (after reaching No. 7 in September), followed by “De Cora <3,” with J Balvin (debuts at No. 16) and “Reloj,” with Anuel AA (No. 21; a new peak).
Rauw Alejandro has been off to a fast start since debuting on Billboard’s charts for the first time in 2018. Since then, he’s tallied 12 entries on the Hot Latin Songs chart, including a pair of top 10s: “Tattoo,” (No. 7 peak), and “La Nota,” with Manuel Turizo and Myke Towers, (No. 9 peak last week).
Rauw Alejandro has also earned two Latin Airplay No. 1s in his career: “TBT,” with Sebastian Yatra and Manuel Turizo, in July and “Tattoo” in September.
