The Weeknd revealed how he got into the Christmas spirit over the weekend with a new holiday selfie featuring a blinged-out Christmas tree.

The superstar (real name Abel Tesfaye) blinded his 26 million Instagram followers with his pearly whites next to white tree lights and gold ornaments. Fellow singer Lauv wished him well by commenting, “happy wknd!!!!”

But fans aren’t just catching glimpses of “happy wknd” this season: They’re also getting holiday Weeknd, as he recently sang the “Christmas Blues” alongside Sabrina Claudio on the title track of her latest EP Christmas Blues, which was released on Nov. 27.

“Yeah, don’t want mistletoes/ If I’m not there to hold you close/ A quiet Christmas Eve/ Not tryna hear the angеls sing/ If I had onе wish/ I’ll take you down by the tree/ ‘Cause all I want is you and me,” he croons on the second verse.

Despite not earning a single Grammy nomination, the Canadian-Ethiopian singer has kept his momentum going by tapping Spanish star Rosalía for a bilingual remix of his Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit “Blinding Lights.” Billboard crowned the song as the No. 1 Hot 100 song of the year after it spent four weeks at the top and broke the records for the most weeks spent in the top five and the top 10 among all titles in the chart’s 62-year history.
