Tim McGraw joked that wife Faith Hill might just be trying to bump him off before Dec. 25th in a post showing off the insane heights he climbed to in order to place the star atop the country couple’s enormous Christmas tree.

“A: Santa’s lead flying reindeer B: wife trying to get rid of me before Christmas,” he captioned a series of photos he shared on social media Tuesday (Dec. 8). The images show him straddling a very tall red ladder in a high-ceilinged, window-filled room.

The couple celebrated their 24th wedding anniversary in October, and McGraw clearly seems dedicated to making the holidays the best ever, since he’s teetering on one boot in one of the snaps as he lays some tinsel near the top of the majestic fir.

In November, McGraw and Hill had something else to cheer when daughter Gracie, 23, flexed some impressive vocal skills while performing the Wicked song “The Wizard and I” during a home performance of the Broadway classic.
