Perhaps you thought that Swifties would have some chill about Taylor Swift announcing the “sister” album to Folklore out of nowhere on Thursday morning (Dec. 10)? None. Not an ounce.
And who could blame them? The singer surprised thew world with the revelation that she’s dropping her second album of 2020 at midnight tonight, Evermore, which she described as the companion piece to her Grammy-nominated smash folk collection.
The 15-track album featuring collaborations with Bon Iver, Haim and The National will be accompanied by the video for the first single, “Willow,” which will also drop at midnight.
In the meantime, we’re running down the best reactions to the news that just made the holidays a little brighter.
And to be clear, they ranged from “OMG” to “OMFG” and every level of freak out in between. Some superfans lamented that they’re just now getting over Folkore and can’t believe the bumper crop of Taylor to digest this year while noting that they’ve barely been able to get out of bed this year during lockdown while TSwift has recorded two whole albums!
