Trey Songz is set to host LiveXLive Presents The Lockdown Awards on Dec. 11 on the LiveXLive platform. The show’s stated purpose is to “honor those who brought the best of music and entertainment during the pandemic.”
Top nominees, across 15 categories, include John Legend, Camila Cabello, Yungblud and Andrea Bocelli.
The show will include performances by Ally Brooke, Avenue Beat and Wiz Khalifa and two collabs, Icona Pop & Sofi Tukker (“Spa”) and Lauv & Conan Gray (“Fake.”)
Presenters include Meg Donnelly, Kiiara, Busta Rhymes, Alex Rose, Infinity Song and Tigirlily.
The Lockdown Awards are produced and distributed by LiveXLive. Garrett English, LiveXLive’s chief creative officer, will oversee production. English was formerly a top executive at MTV and Viacom.
Nominations were based on input from industry executives, peers and superfans. Final winners will be based on fan voting at livexlive.com/TheLockdownAwards.
Trey Songz had a pair of top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2009-10 – “Say Ahh” (featuring Fabolous) and “Bottoms Up” (featuring Nicki Minaj).
