The 2021 Grammys announced nominations on Tuesday (Nov. 24), and Billboard wants to know which of the biggest snubs had you shaking your head.
The Weeknd, despite his Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit “Blinding Lights” breaking the record for most weeks ever in the chart’s top 10 and being 2020’s most-streamed song on Spotify (so far), received zero nominations. Although “Dior” is up for best rap performance, Pop Smoke fell short in becoming the first artist to receive a posthumous best new artist nomination.
BTS’ Hot 100 No. 1 smash “Dynamite” received a nod for best pop duo/group performance, the K-pop group’s first musical Grammy nomination, but was ultimately passed over for record of the year. Fiona Apple was snubbed in another Big Four category — album of the year — after her critically acclaimed comeback album Fetch the Bolt Cutters received a sky-high 98 rating at Metacritic.com, the review aggregation site.
