Beyond the superstar reggaetón acts, such as J Balvin, Bad Bunny and Ozuna, pop artists including Kany García and rising pop/fusion star Camilo are prominent nominees at Thursday’s Latin Grammys, with five and six nods, respectively. Both are in the song the year category, which awards not only artist but also the songwriters.

Other artists and songwriters vying for song of the year award include Residente’s confessional “René,” Jorge Drexler’s COVID-19-inspired “Codo Con Codo” and smash hit “Tusa” by Karol G and Nicki Minaj. See the complete list of nominees here.

Returning with a “music makes us human” theme that highlights musical excellence and the power of music in times of despair, the event will also showcase diverse stories of hope, community, sense of purpose, and celebration.

Hosted by Carlos Rivera, Ana Brenda Contreras and Yalitza Aparicio, the 2020 Latin Grammys will air at 8 p.m. ET on Thursday via Univision.
